It's the final week of the regular season and the Cowboys of Southwest hit 68 over to Northwest Guilford. Both teams come into tonight's contest at 6-2 and tied for 2nd in the Conference. The winner still has a chance to catch East Forsyth for a share of the regular season title. The game opened up nearly identical to the first matchup with the Vikings riding the emotion of Senior Night to a 5-0 lead. The Cowboys once again responded to tie the game up at 5. It was back and forth until the Cowboys took a 14-12 lead and then proceeded to outscore the Vikings to take a 18-13 lead after the first. The second quarter started with the Cowboys getting the lead up to 24-17, but the Vikings would not give up and went on a run of their own to claim the lead at 26-24. It was back and forth with the teams trading baskets until we ended square at 33 at the half. The Vikings were in control of the third quarter from the opening possession until a very late 3-pointer by the Cowboy's Orlando Smith gave the Cowboys the lead for only the second time in the half at 51-49 to end the third. The fourth quarter started as back and forth but the Cowboys flipped a switch and started getting steal after steal in a blink the lead was 61-52 by the 6 minute mark. More steals and free throws allowed the Cowboys to turn this close game into a big lead and a  great team defensive effort in the final frame led Southwest to a convincing 87-69 lead, spoiling the Viking's Senior Night.
