Southwest JV baseball continued their solid play during a long "road trip" on a frigid night at Ragsdale Wednesday. A close game early,  that SW briefly trailed 3-2,  was broken open in the middle innings with 2 big rallies by the Cowboy offense,  leading to a 10-3 victory. AJ Allen hit a key double to right to start the rally,  but unfortunately left the game with a sprained ankle,  and Rafael Pelegrin hit a bases loaded double to put the Cowboys up for good. Mitchell Peck led the offense that put up 11 total hits on the night,  with 3 hits and 3 runs scored. Tomas TJ Ortega had 2 infield hits as well.  Another committee pitching performance,  with Mitch going 4 innings,  then Jason Coble and Jose Perez combined to pitch the final 3 shutout innings.  Southwest returns to action at East Forsyth Friday night at 5:30,  then at Hi Toms Finch Field on Saturday at 4 pm vs North Davidson. JV will play their first game in front of the home Southwest crowd on Monday afternoon at 5.
