Chuck Doak

Defensive Line/Strength and Conditioning

Mens Varsity Football

Coach Doak has coached at Southwest for 12 years. Coach Doak missed the 2018 season at the Ranch to take an opportunity in Monroe NC to rebuild a struggling team at Central Academy of Technology and Arts. Upon returning to Southwest coach Doak took over as head coach and lead the COWBOYS for 3 years and decided to step down as head coach after the 2022 season. Before coming to SOUTHWEST, Coach Doak was an assistant coach at Northwest Guilford for one year and Assistant Defensive Coordinator at Eastern Guilford for one year. Prior to Eastern Guilford, he was and assistant coach at Southeast Guilford for 4 years and defensive Coordinator at Lexington Senior High where he coached for 12 years.

Coach Doak is from Greenville North Carolina and graduated from East Carolina University where he majored in Exercise and Sports Science and minored in Geology. He lives in High Point with his wife, Chaun and daughters Charley (20) and Maddie (14) and has a son Connor (23).

Coach Doak believes that through football young men can develop an understanding of life and especially how to deal with adversity. The COWBOYS will be fundamentally sound and purposeful in everything they do on and off the field. It is Coach Doka’s goal to build young men that will continue to be active members of their communities and positive role models. The expectations are extremely high for these young men to maintain the high level of performance that has been built here at SOUTHWEST and continue to build on that performance into the future.

Coach Doak teaches Freshman Focus and Weight Training in the Fall and Earth Science and Weight Training in the Spring.
