Coach Johnson is the Offensive Line Coach here at Southwest. He has been coaching with the Cowboys since 2019, making this his 4th full season with the team. Coach Johnson has a passion for the offensive line and believes it always “starts with us”. He is a CTE Business and Marketing teacher here at the school. Prior to SW, Coach Johnson coached offensive line at Bishop McGuinness High School and worked with football operations at Greensboro College. He also worked in customer service and can tell you anything you need to know about paint.

Coach Johnson is originally from South Carolina, where he played football at Mauldin High School. He helped coach at multiple high schools while attending North Greenville University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Sports  Management and Business Administration. He loves everything about the game of football, from playing and coaching, to operations and game day experience. His passion for football has been evident since he was a kid, and the game has been a huge part of his life. He is never done learning about the sport! 

Coach Johnson now lives in Davidson County with his wife, Sarah. He enjoys going to the mountains, going to the lake, watching movies, and cheering on the Carolina Hurricanes.
