Kevin Connolly is a native of Rochester Hills, Michigan and a 1980 graduate of Adams HS. Following graduation, he attended the University of Dayton, receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.  Following graduation, he enjoyed on a 37-year career in operations management in the chemical industry, retiring in December of 2021. Coach Connolly has been married to his lovely wife, Kris, for 33 years. The have one son, Michael, who graduated from and played football at Southwest from 2009-2012. Michael is also currently on the coaching staff at Southwest. Kris served as President of the SW Football Boosters from 2010-12.

Coach Connolly brings 10 years' experience coaching football at the youth level into this position. Coach Connolly served  as a Head Coach all 10 years, and also held the positions of Offensive Coordinator and Special Teams Coordinator.  As a Head Coach, he and his staffs prided themselves on developing players for the local high schools.  Over 40 of Coach Connolly's players went on to play football at local area high schools.

Coach Connolly brings a highly organized and disciplined approach to special teams, implementing best practices gleaned from the high school and college levels, and involving the entire coaching staff in building special teams units that provide a solid competitive advantage for Southwest.
