Mens Varsity Football

From Greensboro, NC, I attended Northeast Guilford High School. Upon graduation, I attended N.C. State University where I achieved a BA in Political Science/Criminal Justice and a few years later from N.C. State, I achieved a BSW (Social Work). Immediately after receiving my BSW, I obtained my MSW (Social Work) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I’ve previously taught in the guilford county school system and I’ve been a child abuse and neglect Investigator. Currently, I’m a mental health therapist in Greensboro, NC. I also served 9 years in the United States Army.

In relation to football, I’m an accomplished and focused football professional with 14 years of experience in coaching football and mentoring young athletes as well as a playing career of eight years after high school. I am a high energy, tenacious football coach and I have coached middle school through DII-DIII College. I’ve coached every position on the defensive side of the ball as well as WR and RB on the offensive side of the ball. Most recently, I’ve been an assistant head coach for 4 years and defensive coordinator for 8 years total. My philosophy is to be a ‘teacher’ on the football field as well as requiring respect and discipline. Defensively, being fundamentally sound and playing alignment and assignment football is key while also being aggressive.

“The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.” - William Arthur Ward

“Football is like life- it requires perseverance, self-denial, hard work, sacrifice, dedication and respect for authority.” -Vince Lombardi
