Having narrowly lost last season to the Cougars, the Cowgirls came out guns drawn, quickly outmatching the cougars on 4 courts and only but missing their mark on the last 2 singles.
Having focused on dubs extensively in the pre-season, the cowgirls proved too much for the cougars, sweeping all three doubles.
Southwest begins the season 1-0 overall.
