HIGH POINT ANDREWS: 2
Playing deep into the ranks, SW Cowgirls took on the Lady Red Raiders of Andrews.
Though greatly improved over last years Red Raider Team, the Cowgirls quickly found their foothold on courts 2-6, securing the victory with 5 singles wins. Kyra, making her debut at #1 singles today, struggled through a Pro-8 against what no one would argue as being a human hitting wall. Consistent and well placed came back all of Kyra's shots resulting in the lone singles win for the Red Raiders. Kyra fought the good fight in her 5-8 loss.
Thrown in once more at #2 doubles with partner Sam Hamrick (playing #3 v Andrews) Kyra bounced back in form and with commanding service games, made quick work of Andres #2 dubs team while exacting retribution for her singles loss.
Chhetri/Lee were not as fortunate playing against Andrews #1/2 singles at #1 dubs. Both Hannah's (A) dug deep hitting well placed shots and keeping the ball in play and by doing so, simply outpaced Chhetri/Lee. They have vowed to do better at next meet.
#3 dubs started in earnest but before either team could close out the match, lightening forced to a close a well played beginning of the #3 dubs race.
