MALLARD CREEK HIGH SCHOOL: 0
The Cowgirls defeated Mallard Creek in the 1st round of the playoffs 1-0. The Cowgirls had several chance in the 1st half to score but came up empty. The teams battled to a scoreless tie at the half. After a lot of back and forth action, Kylea Vetsch managed to put in a header after several attempt pinged off the crossbar. The 1-0 score held up despite numerous attempts by Mallard Creek to tie the score. Big defensive efforts were turned in by Taylor Jackson, Ellen Druebbisch, Kierra Mueller, and Brianna Webb. The team will travel to Myers Park for the 2nd round.
