Jacob Edwards dominated the Ragsdale Tigers with a a no-hit, 17 strikeout performance  in leading the Southwest Cowboy varsity baseball team to a 8—0 victory on Friday night.  The only stat that kept Edwards from a perfect game was a hit batsman in the 2nd inning. The victory improved the Cowboys to 8-2 on the season and 2-0 in the Piedmont Triad 4A conference.

After scoring one run in the first inning on a Kyle Blendinger single, the Cowboys had a 4-run second inning fueled by an RBI triple by Peyton Walls, an RBI single by Edwards and a 2-RBI double by Garrison Thornton.  On the night, Edwards collected 3 RBI’s on 2 hits to help his own cause.  Kyle Blendinger also had two hits including a huge home-run to center field to cap the nights scoring in the seventh inning.  Isaiah Hairston and AJ Allen had the other Cowboy hits.

The Cowboys next game will be another conference game at home vs East Forsyth on Tuesday at 7pm.
