The Southwest Cowboys varsity baseball team improved to 4-0 in the conference and 11-2 overall with a 4-1 victory over the visiting Northwest Vikings on Thursday night.  Jacob Edwards Had another masterful performance on the mound to earn his 5^th win of the season against no losses.  Edwards struck out 12 Viking batters and only walked one in his second complete game in a row.

Kyle Blendinger led the Cowboy offense again with two hits and two RBI’s.  The RBI’s were the result of his second home run of the season which provided much needed cushion in the bottom of the sixth inning.  Tommy Zente cracked a double down the left field line to knock in Edwards to open the cowboy scoring in the bottom of the fourth, Garrison Thornton followed that with an RBI when he grounded out to second base.  Edwards had the only other Cowboy hit on the evening.

The Cowboys next game is at High Point Central on Tuesday, April 4^th at 7pm.  The Bison are looking pretty good this year as they sit at 3-1 in the conference and 9-4 overall.
