1st Round Playoffs

The men's tennis team prevailed in a hard-fought 5-4 match with TC Roberson on Tues, 5/3.  After a three hour plus bus ride, the Cowboys played great tennis against a previously undefeated opponent.  Noah Price was the first victorious Cowboy off the court with a solid win a #3 singles.  Hayden Hmiel fought back from a one set deficit to force his #4 seed match to a 10 point tiebreaker which he won 10-6.  Varun Nair then finished off his opponent at #5 with a 6-4, 6-4 win in workmanlike fashion.  Will Davis, playing #6, won the first set, but found himself down 1-5 in the second.  Showing tremendous tenacity he battled back to a tiebreaker and held on to win 8-6, leaving the Cowboys up 4-2 after singles. 

TCR played great doubles at #1 and #2 and won those hard fought matches.  However, the Cowboys were able to wrap things up at #3 doubles with Hmiel and Davis romping to a 10-3 win over their opponents.  A great win for the entire team who heads into the second round of the playoffs against a yet to be determined opponent.
