Hunter Pace pitched 6 strong innings, shutting out E Davidson with 9 strikeouts and no walks, scattering 5 hits on 74 pitches. The Cowboys offense scratched runs across in the 3rd, 5th and 7th to lead 4-0 with some aggressive base running and a few E Davidson wild pitches. The home team got a couple of runs in the 7th, but their rally fell short as the Cowboy defense shut the door, and Jason Coble finished the game on the mound. Patrick Callaghan led the offense with 2 hits, and a run scored, Dylan Sampson also had a hit and reached base twice. Mitchell Peck ( on base 3 times ), AJ Allen ( on base twice )and Bryant Smith ( on base twice ) scored the other runs for the Cowboys.
